Movie Screening Sense and Sensibility

Review of Movie Screening we have movie screening of   SENSE AND SENSIBILITY     Directed by  Ang Lee ;  written by Emma Thompson, based on the novel by Jane Austen.   Sense and sensibility as a realistic many scholars view this connection between the reader and character as a mark of realism. Mr. Dashwood dies, leaving his second wife and her three daughters poor by the rules of inheritance. The two eldest daughters are represents the title Sense and Sensibility.  Elinor sense and realism on the other side Marianne sensibility and she always resignation and acceptance. When Marianne asks Elinor how she feels about Edward she merely responds: and she says that … “ I can not attempt to deny that… I think very highly of him… that I… Greatly esteem him…… Marianne is almost opposite of Elinor is every way Marianne is always different because Marianne sensibility and Elinor sense. Where Elinor listens to her head and Marianne listens to her heart.

(1) How would you like to explain Eliot 's concept of traditio n ? Do you agree with it ?       (A)-: Yes, I agree with the concept of tradition given by Eliot in his essay.  Firstly Eliot’s conception of tradition is dynamic one and it is constantly changing, growing and becoming different from what it was. He also says that Tradition is not slavish imitation of the past. And it cannot be obtained by hard labor. Tradition can be obtained by those who have the historical sense. Q1- Write about a Idea of  Matthew Arnold which you find interesting and relevant in our times. A study of poetry ' is a critical essay by Mathew Arnold.  In this he criticises upon Art of poetry and Art of Criticism. He gives definition of poetry that  " Poetry is the criticism of life "  . About William Wordsworth :      William Wordsworth was a major English Romantic poet and he was born : 7th April, 1770 and Died: 23ed April, 1850.  Wordsworth called his poem "Experimental". Wordsworth gives his famous definition of Poetry as.. " Spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings,  emotions recollected in tranquility. " A fourth and final edition of Lyrical  Ballads was published in 1805.  Wordsworth is a prominent one in English literature.
