Rabindranath Tagore’s "Postmaster":

Rabindranath Tagore  is the great figure in Indian literature.  He was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. He has written many Plays, Poetries and short stories. This short story is all about the attachment and detachment of human souls with worldly relations. The Postmaster" is a story about a postmaster and an orphan village girl named Ratan. The Postmaster gets transferred from Calcutta to Ulapur where he makes no friends and feel lonely. Somehow, he becomes very fond of the little orphan girl, Ratan and vice versa. They develop a bond of trust and friendship. They have meals together and Ratan runs small errands for the postmaster. She later become his pupil when he begins teaching her how to read. One day, postmaster falls ill due to the showers of the season and decides to apply for a transfer back to Calcutta. His application for transfer gets rejected, thus he resigns from the job.                                               Kathleen Mansfield Murry (14 October 1888 – 9 January 1923) was a prominent New Zealand modernist short story writer who was born and brought up in colonial New Zealand and wrote under the pen name of Katherine Mansfield. She is best artist in portraying common human behaviors and emotions of humans. In her short story ‘A Cup of Tea’, she has presented a jealousy of woman. He was more famous for his prosaic style, who was born in Leister on 19 January 1946 and was educated at the city of London school and magladen college Oxford. 'The Sense of an Ending' as known as Memory novel and Psychological thriller which is written by   Julian Patrick Barnes. He deals with many philosophical  and psychological aspect in his novel. Here is the blog link of professor's worksheet  click here . “The Da Vinci Code” one of the greatest novel that talking about the myth or history of the Christian religion and very well discussed all the things by Dan Brown. In this novel he tries to discuss and also tries to define some historical movement of Christian religion. And he also mixes the art and religion both very well.   The idea for   The Da Vinci Code, a thriller that hinges on a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, first came to Brown while he was studying art history in Spain and learned about hidden symbols in Da Vinci’s paintings. Brown states on his website that his books are not   anti-Christian, though he is on a 'constant spiritual journey' himself, and says that his book   The Da Vinci Code   is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate"

Revolution 2020

The word revolution comes from the Latin word ‘ revolvere’. It means a change in the way a country is governed, usually by a different political system and often using violence and war. "This novel is X- Ray image of our Political and Education system." In this novel we find satire on politics and education system. We can say that novel has the plot of education system and politics. One of the most famous popular writer   Chetan Bhagat writes so many novels, . " Revolution 2020" is  written by Chetan Bhagat.  The story revolves around the narrator Gopal as he shares his experiences with the author.As usual, this time as well the names of the main characters have been taken from Hindu mythology. Othello which is also known as The Tragedy of Othello , The Moor of Venice is a tragic play by William Shakespeare. Othello is believed to have been written in 1603.It is based on the story Un Calitano Moro "A Moorish Captain" by Cinthio a disciple of Boccaccio. The play is about jealousy, revenge and betrayal. Othello is the protagonist of the play who becomes the victim of jealousy of Iago and take revenge to his wife's betrayal, where as his wife was innocent. Othello starts from a street in Venice. where Rodrigo and iago were arguing with each other. Rodrigo wanted to marry Desdemona and was giving money for that to Iago, but when he came to knwo about Othello marring Desdemona he became furious. Iago also adds that he also hates Othello because he became lieutenant instead of him. Their hatred leed them to Brabanzio and they told him about missing Desdemona, her marriage. which eventually was true. Iago leaves Roderigo and hurries back to Othello
