Literature Review.

If we talk about Literature and how literature shaped me, First of all I would like to say that Shaping something or shaping someone is one kind of process. And its take some time to shape something.

Things are same but our perspective is changed to see towards  it with time.  With passing time , we grown up with more understanding and maturity. We learn today what we  learnt  yesterday was  wrong.  and I learn that from the literature.

What is literature?

Throughout these five years I came through various definition of Literature. First is very common and famous definition “Literature is mirror of the society”.  B.A. Level definition, But it is not so because mirror shows only one side of us while literature shows the dual side of people.

Being a daughter of a college lecturer , relation with literature is quite old. That is not always enough.  I used to read literature, but my understanding about Literature developed specially  in P.G studies. During U.G study everything was just exam oriented but in P.G it became life oriented.

Thanks to my teacher Dr.Dilip Barad sir for making able me "watch the real hidden meaning of literature"

Literature is something that reflects society, makes us think about ourselves and our society, allows us to enjoy language and beauty, it can be didactic, and it reflects on the human condition. It both reflects ideology and changes ideology, just like it follows generic conventions as well as changing them. It has social and political effects.

What Literature mean in the words of Julian Barnes’ definition about Literature is something like this,
“The things Literature was all about: love, sex, morality, friendship, happiness, suffering, betrayal, adultery, good and evil, heroes and villains, guilt and innocence, ambition, power, justice, revolution, war, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, the individual against society, success and failure, murder, suicide, death, God.”

I learn so many things from literature. Today when I look back in memory of time I realize that I am not the same person I has before entering into this subject. Now I am totally different person from earlier life.

For me B.A is different colour to think on but M.A gives me the design which I go to made.

Literature taught me to be an observer , not judgmental. Rather than preferring one over other, i try to view both neutrally . While reading books, i unintentionally put myself into the place of character & start thinking that what if i were in his or her place. which cultivated in me a humanitarian approach. Now i strongly believe that Humanity is more important than religion, authority or so called morality.
One Night @ the Call Center is love to read kind of book, touching upon social issues and bringing NEW MORALITY. it says it is difficult to please and make everybody happy at a same time.YOU FIND YOUR OWN HAPPINESS, OTHERS WILL FIND THEIRS ON THEIR OWN.

Books like Harry Potter taught me that LIFE IS ALL ABOUT CHOICES YOU MAKE, Right choice at right time will decide your future. No one will come from sky to help you..........

This my outlook about literature from my perception. Literature is “As endless as the sky , As timeless as the wind .”and we try to find ourself in that literature that inestimable journey never end......
Sky was clear and waste .Flying up above the sky....like literature gives heights of maturity.sky gave clearity ,and also literature gave clearity of society.

Thankyou............................
